Responsibilities
Manages the industrialization of new product assembly processes through all phases of execution (technical specifications, equipment procurement support, co-design, equipment construction, installation, and testing) in line with assigned project objectives in terms of quality, time, cost, and investment.
Solid technical experience in mechanical component assembly is required.
Provides technical feasibility assessments of the assembly process and investments for new product initiatives, supporting the project manager's requirements.
Supports plants in defining and implementing projects to improve the current assembly process in terms of quality, productivity, and costs. Reporting to the Process Engineering Team Leader:
Provides technical process studies, including assembly sequence, definition of key tools and equipment, investment evaluation, PFMEA, WO optimization, and quality.
During the preliminary study and implementation phase, involves and leverages the input of work analysis, logistics, and layout experts to optimize the process and equipment.
Defines the technical specifications for the purchase request, including assembly sequence, definition of key tools and equipment, with the support of the Technical Manager/Skills Manager.
Prepares the technical comparison of supplier offers.
Ensures the implementation of best practices to ensure new equipment complies with Quality, WO, AM, PM, and Safety standards.
Guarantees technical control in the execution phases (codesign with supplier, drawings approval, equipment construction, installation, acceptance, run off and start up), keeping informed of the project status competence leader and project manager.
Verifies machinery test at the supplier and the final test report in the Plant, preparing the equipment acceptance documents
Draws up Process FMEA and control plan of assembly processes.
Contributes to identify and standardize "best practices" to optimize key processes.
Takes part, with Product Engineering, in simultaneous engineering activities to support product “design for process”.
Supports during ISO/IATF audit with documentation and material preparation and exposition.
Your Profile
Previous experience (4-5 years) in a technical role in manufacturing engineering context where processes are both automated and manual. Knowledge of hw/sw machines architecture will be a plus.
Good knowledge of technological processes, for assembly and machining.
Method knowledge (lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools, problem solving).
Production KPI’s knowledge (direct work efficiency, OEE, extra consumption, finance elements).
Project Management (time management, stakeholder management).
Bachelor’s degree in industrial/manufacturing and/or Mechanical Engineering preferred or other engineering discipline. Lower title will be compared to proven experience.
Robust competence with 2D/3d design programs (Autocad/Pro-E preferred).
Level B2-C1 English spoken and written, French/Deutsch will be a plus.
