Ph3Overview /h3pRD Associate Engineer - Temporary at ABB. This position reports to the RD Team Lead and is located in Dalmine (IT) within the Research and Development and prototype department Technology Center. The role involves temporary experience in prototype and RD departments. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliManaging prototyping procurement, prototype assembling, and reviewing the mechanical/electrical parts. /liliUnderstanding 3D/2D parts and managing the construction process of prototypes. /liliTaking care of the design procurement phase and prototype optimization by identification of supplier, treatment, and process. /liliFollowing the prototype development, analyzing the executive drawings, defining the assembling process integration with the switchgear and the control circuits, and working closely in a multidisciplinary team. /liliContributing to drawing up the technical documentation required for production of the Circuit Breaker and carrying out activities to support and maintain the products when requested. /liliWorking closely with other colleagues/functions, being proactive and motivated. Being open to learn and contribute to the team success. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliHigh school or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar. /liliKnowledge of mechanical design, 3D/2D drawings, and part tolerances of industrial applications. Experience with SolidWorks and 2D drawings. /liliInterest in prototype assembly, integration, and tests to develop functionality and performance. Experience creating technical drawings, documents, and managing versioning for full tracking of the Circuit Breaker BOM procurement and its assembly. /liliKnowledge of manufacturing processes and tolerance chains; awareness of the MV Circuit Breaker is a plus. /liliProactivity, ability to create innovation, negotiation and networking skills.
