Hauptaufgaben
Incumbent serves as Chief of Training Support Center in Vicenza, Italy, with a subordinate satellite Training Support Center in Livorno, Italy, providing home station training support, expeditionary training support, and visual information support to all U.S. Army units and Soldiers stationed South of the Alps. Directly supervises 15 U.S. Department of the Army Civilian and Italian Local National personnel in the execution of Department of the Army Training Support Programs, i.e., Range and Training Land Program (RTLP), Integrated Training Area Management Program (ITAM), and Soldier Training Support Program (STSP), and the USAREUR-AF Visual Information (VI) Program. Establishes organizational, plans, policies, procedures, priorities, goals, and deadlines, and assigns all work objectives to subordinate employees located in two different Regions of Italy. Provides quality control on work products and services, including customer service; accepts, amends, or rejects completed work. Evaluates subordinate employee performance; identifies and fulfills the training needs of subordinates. He/she executes operational coordination with the Italian Army, Carabinieri, and U.S. Embassy Office of Defense Cooperation in Rome to facilitate training support and training land sustainability activities throughout Italy. Organizes United States Army Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF) Senior Leader training support visits to the Southern European Region. Translates Italian correspondence to English for RTSD South and 7th ATC in Germany. Establishes both internal and external Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the use of each training facility based on U.S. Army and host nation (HN) training standards to allow units to train realistically and safely in the facilities. Coordinates and supervises the scheduling of these training facilities by means of the web-based Range Facility Management Scheduling System (RFMSS). Executes the Department of the Army and USAREUR-AF Soldier Training Support Program (STSP) for all U.S. Army units and Soldiers stationed South of the Alps. Supervises the operation of all assigned Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS), to include the Engagement Skills Trainer (EST), Mobile Marksmanship Training System (MMTS), Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES), Call for Fire Trainer (CFFT), Virtual Stinger Trainers (VST), and Javelin Training Systems. Coordinates periodic inventories of 7th ATC property in the possession of customer units in those countries. Incumbent executes the Department of the Army and USAREUR-AF Integrated Training Area Management Program (ITAM) for all U.S. Army units and Soldiers stationed South of the Alps. Coordinates with Senior Italian Military Officials to obtain permission for contractor collection of overhead aerial imagery of Italian training facilities which are utilized by U.S. units. Maintains an inventory of GIS products in the training support centers in Vicenza and Livorno and distributes the GIS products to training units.
NOTE: Tour of duty is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 08.00 to 17.00, including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet the qualification requirements in the "Qualification Standards" published by U.S. Office of Personnel Management, as summarized below.
EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the UA-01 grade level.
Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
NOTE: The position requires advanced knowledge of and fluency in the English and Italian languages, to include technical, business, and military jargon.
