Senior Product Sub Editor & Translator Arabic
To support our Copy Editing team we are searching for a Senior Product Sub Editor & Translator Arabic to be based in our Milan office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Oversee the quality and consistency of Arabic product copy and translations across all three platforms.
2. Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to junior team members
3. Onboard new starters.
4. Coordinate the workflow and timely delivery of Arabic product descriptions and translations.
5. Review and adapt AI/agency-translated texts, ensuring linguistic quality, brand tone, and factual accuracy.
6. Sub-edit product copy as needed.
7. Ensure a consistent tone of voice for Arabic product descriptions across all channels.
8. Collaborate with Content Managers and other teams to optimize product content.
9. Participate in creative workshops, brand trainings, and new projects aimed at team development.
10. Act as a point of contact for Content Managers and Copy Editors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of Arabic assets.
WHO YOU ARE
11. Native Arabic speaker with excellent written and verbal skills, including a strong grasp of spelling and grammar.
12. Proficiency in English with excellent comprehension skills.
13. Educated to degree level with a background in Journalism, Creative Writing, Marketing, Translation or fashion-related subjects.
14. 3-5 years professional experience in translation, writing and editing, with demonstrable experience in a leadership or senior role.
15. Profound fashion competence and knowledge of industry trends, luxury brands, and textiles.
16. Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with proven experience managing deadlines and translation coordination.
17. Familiar with MS Office and CMS systems.
18. Experience in fashion e-commerce, editorial or digital media environments.
