Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Software Safety Assurance Engineer. The position will be based in Bologna, Rome, or Bari, with 10 days of smart working per month. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Center Safety Manager and will be responsible for managing, performing, and ensuring safety assurance activities across various projects, defining and delivering safe solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate all safety assurance activities on the project;
* Perform safety analysis, manage hazard logs, and review engineering activities from a safety perspective;
* Define safety plans and manage safety workload and planning;
* Support tenders and teams in integrating products into projects;
* Develop safety reports and safety cases;
* Apply safety assurance methodologies;
* Participate in and contribute to periodic safety reviews;
* Defend safety case arguments before internal and external assessors;
* Define and follow up on action plans to address assessor findings.
Educational and Professional Requirements
* Advanced university or engineering degree;
* 1-2 years of experience in a similar safety assurance role across industries such as automotive, medical, aerospace, or railway;
* Good knowledge of safety standards (preferably CENELEC or equivalent standards like AREMA, IEEE) and safety methodologies and principles;
* Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders in an international environment;
* Resilient and proactive attitude.
