Ph3Role Overview /h3 pAn expanding European Infrastructure Fund are looking for a new hire in their Milan office to support and lead on MA activity. They would be willing to Sponsor candidates from the UK who would wish to live in Milan for at least two years. /p pThe Investment Manager will focus almost exclusively on MA execution for European acquisitions of operating solar PV, onshore wind, and battery storage assets. The role involves full-cycle deal execution: valuation, due diligence coordination, structuring, negotiation, and investment committee preparation. /p h3Core Responsibilities /h3 h31. Deal Screening Initial Assessment /h3 ul liReview teasers, IMs, data rooms, and brokerage opportunities for operating renewable portfolios across Europe. /li liConduct high-level financial and commercial screening to determine strategic fit. /li liAssess asset performance history, merchant / market exposure, PPA terms, and regulatory frameworks. /li /ul h32. Financial Modelling Valuation /h3 ul liBuild and own acquisition models for operating assets (IRR, cash flow, sensitivity analysis). /li liIncorporate P50 / P90 data, degradation, curtailment, capture pricing, merchant curves, and BESS revenue stacking where applicable. /li liRun valuation scenarios and structure optimisation (e.g., holdco financing, leverage options, revenue hedges). /li liProduce price ranges, bidding strategies, and competitive positioning recommendations. /li /ul h33. Due Diligence Leadership /h3 ul liLead and coordinate technical, commercial, legal, tax, regulatory, and financial DD providers. /li liInterpret reports to determine key risks and mitigation actions. /li liConsolidate DD findings into a clear risk / return view for internal decision-making. /li liEngage with vendors, advisors, and internal stakeholders throughout the process. /li /ul h34. Transaction Execution Structuring /h3 ul liManage end-to-end execution of bilateral and auction processes. /li liWork closely with legal advisors on SPA terms, warranties, indemnities, CPs, liability caps, and closing mechanics. /li liSupport negotiations alongside senior management. /li liContribute to structuring decisions relating to JV agreements, holdco structures, financing, and regulatory considerations. /li liCoordinate internal approvals and ensure alignment across the investment team. /li /ul h35. Investment Committee Preparation /h3 ul liDraft clear and concise IC papers summarising valuation, key risks, mitigants, DD outputs, and recommended investment terms. /li liPresent findings to senior leadership and respond to detailed IC questioning. /li liAdjust models and transaction structures based on IC feedback. /li /ul h36. Market Knowledge Regulatory Insight /h3 ul liMaintain up-to-date knowledge of European renewable MA dynamics, valuation trends, merchant market movements, and PPA pricing. /li liTrack regulatory frameworks across Italy, Spain, Portugal, UK, France, and other core markets. /li liBuild intelligence on key developers, aggregators, IPPs, and investment banks active in the operating-assets market. /li /ul h37.
