Senior Delivery Consultant (Security) – Professional Services, UK NatSec, WWPSThe Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant (Security) to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You will be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing security expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.Our technical Security Consultants help customers build comprehensive security models, transform how they secure their sensitive workloads, and develop their technical expertise. We deliver architecture guidance, develop security infrastructure and patterns in code, lead proof‑of‑concept projects, and conduct security workshops for customers. AWS security consultants collaborate with customers to address security and compliance challenges, helping implement and migrate customer solutions and workloads onto AWS.This is a customer‑facing role. You will be required to travel to UK client locations (3-4 days on customer site per week) to deliver professional services to our customers. UK Government Security Clearance is required for this role. UK Nationality is required for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesSolutions – Work with customers to solve problems and identify opportunities. Define and deliver on‑site technical engagements with partners and customers, understanding security and compliance requirements, proposing and delivering packaged security offerings, and building bespoke security solutions.Expertise – Operate within an enterprise security program and develop a security model in the AWS cloud – identity and access management, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, data protection, and incident response.Delivery – Deliver projects proving the use of AWS services and security technology to support information security in the cloud. Sometimes help migrate existing applications; sometimes help develop new applications using AWS cloud services.Insights – Convey partner and customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps, working with AWS engineering, support and business teams.Practice Development – Collect, capture, package and share knowledge with new customers, partners, and AWS employees, developing tools, services and new artefacts that help others build on the work you deliver.Basic QualificationsTechnical Security consultant with hands‑on expertise in building AWS cloud security capabilities in code and deploying infrastructure in code.Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions such as WAF, IPS, Anti‑DDOS, and SIEM.Experience in supporting internal and external customers, drawing out critical customer needs and focusing knowledge to deliver practical outcomes.Experience building enterprise security strategy for cloud adoption or driving the program’s evolution to meet new requirements.AWS Certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Security Specialty.Preferred QualificationsUnderstanding of enterprise risk management methods and techniques for complex public sector or highly regulated organisations.Significant experience in IT security, compliance and risk management, including privacy, controls, etc.Proven and significant experience working with security reference architectures for all‑in cloud deployments and / or hybrid scenarios.Understanding of architectural implications of meeting industry standards such as ISO 27001, UK Official.Equal Opportunity EmployerAmazon is an equal opportunities employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
