THE ROLE You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where material, mechanical and electronic engineers, computational scientists, physicists, chemists, biotechnologist and biologists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The activity is aimed at the implementation of advanced technologies for developing novel photonic, plasmonic and/or acoustic methods for sensing and actuation cellular ans sub-cellulare activity in-vivo. Within this position, you will design and conduct laboratory experiments, develop methodology and then interpret and utilize scientific data to further develop advanced theranostics. You will operate in a world-class laboratory equipped with a wide range of fabrication and characterization facilities. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary community specially organized to develop know-how ranging among neurophysiology, sleep disorders health, vital parameters sensors development, signal read-out, and processing, machine learning. This open position/research is financed by Ministero Della Salute within the PROGETTO HUB Scienze della Vita Regione Puglia - Biotecnologie, Bioinformatica e Sviluppo Farmaceutico - contratto n T4- AN- 01 CUP: J73C22000470003 ESSENTIAL CRITERIA - Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry (or related discipline). - PhD and expertise in photonics, nanotechnology, materials science or a related field. - Research experience in at least one of the following fields: - Nanofabrication; - Raman measurements; - Data Analysis; - Good command of spoken and written English ADDITIONAL SKILLS - organized and able to work in a cross-functional team; - able to clearly communicate in writing, must have a desire to be part of a growing organization that uses cutting-edge science and technology; - Flexible to support various other activities and ability to learn new techniques outside of existing field of expertise; - team orientated with passion for continuous self-development.
