This role requires a proactive leader capable of inspiring a team to achieve performance goals and productivity standards that align with company objectives. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring team attendance and workflow, working closely with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager to identify and resolve any issues that may arise. /p pAmazon Operations and Distribution is a 24/7 environment and shifts may change due to business needs. /p h3Key Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liContribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies /li liAssist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks /li liConduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completed /li liPerform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) /li liAllocate tasks to staff as needed to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targets /li liEnsure adequate staffing levels for your area, including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivity /li liSupport the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasks /li liCollaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in tracking, analyzing, and reporting Exchange Point metrics /li liSupport the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of Exchange Point objectives /li liMonitor and report on associate hours and schedules /li liAddress and resolve process-related issues within the area as needed /li liEnsure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in logistics /li liExperience in warehouse operations /li liWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays /li liCan lift up to 20kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience managing teams /li liExperience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement /li liExperience using Windows/MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel) /li /ul h3Acknowledgement of Country /h3 pIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
