Bid and Proposal Manager
About the Role:
Leaf Space is seeking a skilled Bid and Proposal Manager to support the company's growth and expansion in the institutional market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing funding opportunities, managing the bidding process, and collaborating with internal departments and external partners.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue funding opportunities within the institutional market.
* Manage the bidding process, including coordinating proposal teams and ensuring timely delivery of proposals.
* Analyze and execute offers, interacting with internal departments and partner organizations as needed.
* Interact with customers to understand their needs and reflect them in the offer.
* Liaise with bid consortium members to ensure their contributions are incorporated into the proposal.
* Prepare and maintain proposal templates, tracking documentation produced and issued throughout the bid phases.
* Collaborate with administrative and program management departments to facilitate bureaucratic tasks and proposal drafting.
* Ensure compliance with company processes, customer requests, and strategic goals, meeting deadlines in key phases such as Bid-No-Bid, Bid Preparation, Proposal Submission, Lessons Learned, and Negotiation.
* Enhance synergies between commercial and institutional areas by collaborating with business development and sales teams.
* Keep the CRM up-to-date with R&D funding opportunities and commercial services sales to institutional organizations.
* Monitor the market and competitor strategies to optimize offer quality and analyze results.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* University degree in Engineering, Economics, Physics, Business, Information Technologies, or other relevant disciplines.
* Proactive attitude and ability to work in international teams and individually.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, precision, and attention to detail, coupled with excellent organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
* Ability to manage demanding and fluctuating workloads effectively and work under pressure.
* Sale-oriented attitude.
* Two to three years of working experience in business development, marketing, and sales in institutional environments, with a focus on developing technological services.
* Knowledge of the space market and macro-economy principles.
* Knowledge of System Engineering principles and system-level knowledge of all spacecraft subsystems is an asset.
* Excellent professional proficiency in English is mandatory, with full proficiency in Italian required.
