THE ROLE
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Group IT team in a Data Analyst role. This internship offers hands-on experience in SharePoint administration, document control, and data protection support. You’ll assist with managing digital information, supporting compliance efforts, and helping to maintain the integrity of our data systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop practical skills in data management, IT systems, and regulatory compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SharePoint & Data Management Support
* Assist in maintaining and organizing content across multiple SharePoint sites
* Support the analysis of business requirements and help develop SharePoint-based solutions
* Collaborate with IT operations and IT Security to support data organization and compliance efforts
* Help monitor and improve digital document workflows and permissions
Document Controller Support
* Support day-to-day operational activities related to document management
* Respond to and escalate helpdesk issues concerning documentation or data access
* Assist with updating internal documentation and tracking changes in business needs
* Help gather and organize data requests from internal stakeholders
Data Protection & Compliance Assistance
* Learn and assist with GDPR-related compliance tasks
* Help maintain data access guidelines and classification labels
* Assist in identifying systems processing personal data and support documentation for Subject Access Requests (SARs)
* Contribute to maintaining the IT asset register and ensure accurate recording of hardware and software
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
* Interest in SharePoint, data governance, or regulatory compliance
* Basic understanding of GDPR or willingness to learn data protection regulations
* Strong attention to detail and a willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) is a plus
