Overview
An international retail company with over 1,000 employees across more than 10 countries is looking for an IT Application Specialist (sales processes) to join its Group Business Processes & IT Department currently made of 6 professionals.
Responsibilities
* Take technical ownership of end-to-end ERP Sales processes with an omnichannel approach, including EDI integration solutions.
* Define, validate, and oversee the implementation of software development activities in collaboration with internal developers and external vendors, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
* Analyze technical requirements, functional specifications, and integration needs.
* Configure EDI messages to meet customer data exchange requirements (e.g., EDIFACT, XML, X12).
* Monitor and troubleshoot integration flows between ERP systems, middleware, and external platforms.
* Contribute to solution design and produce both technical and functional documentation.
* Collaborate with analysts to translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
* Provide second-level support and coordinate training activities for business key user.
Your Profile
* Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* At least 4/5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in complex and structured environments.
* Strong knowledge of ERP systems with a focus on sales processes. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV is a plus.
* Deep knowledge of Order-to-cash (B2B, E-commerce and Retail) processes in multinational companies.
* Experience in EDI integration projects (clients/suppliers), including interaction with VANs or middleware platforms (e.g. Lobster, Seeburger).
* Technical background with the ability to understand and challenge development activities (SQL, APIs, XML/JSON knowledge is a plus).
* Knowledge and experience of the Agile SCRUM methodology preferred.
* Ability to coordinate external vendors and development teams.
* Strong communication skills and ability to mediate between business and technical stakeholders.
* Excellent knowledge of English, as well as fluency in either Italian or German.
Work location: Montebelluna, with occasional trips to HQ (Alto-Adige)
