This Buyer / Procurement role has come up due to continuous growth and expansion, and offers an exciting opportunity with progression within a dynamic business. Part of the ISC department, reporting to the senior finished product buyer. Strong relation with R&I and GSS (Gewiss as a Service) teams and BU leaders and team member of the Digital transformation project related to the Servitisation.
Key responsibilities for the position of Buyer / Procurement Specialist :
1. Scout and source products and services across categories including hardware, software and services
2. Understand and apply standard procurement principles
3. Be able to work to deadlines and contracted KPIs - focus on quick turnaround and savings
4. Respond to internal request for quotation
5. Be confident negotiating price, payment terms and delivery timescales to achieve targets and increase savings for our customers
6. Evaluate supplier price, quality, and delivery performance
7. Onboard new suppliers and maintain existing supplier records
8. Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships through effective communications
9. Prepare and implement appropriate forms of contract commitment with suppliers, engaging legal counsel and senior management when required
10. Understand customer needs and take prompt action on their requests
11. Stay current and up to date on market changes that may affect the supply and demand of products/services. Communicate this effectively to relevant stakeholders
12. Attend meetings and update other colleagues on issues or concerns to share best practice and define processes
13. Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
14. Production and maintenance of bespoke reports
15. Key experience and skills required for the position of Buyer / Procurement Specialist - IT (hardware & software)
16. Knowledge of the electronic components market.
17. Management, in support of R&I, of the life cycle of the product / component, identification of supply alternatives and phase in phase out management, BOM analysis, etc.
Requisiti
18. Minimum of 3 years' experience in the IT industry in roles including, but not limited to, sourcing, buying and supply chain management. Preferably dealing with European countries.
19. Experience in managing supplier interactions and experience in reviewing contracts
20. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers
21. Able to lead work and interact with suppliers and customers based in different countries
22. Analytical skills in evaluating supplier terms, comparing prices and benchmarking data
23. Ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate with suppliers
24. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office. SAP, CRM is desirable.
