As we expand our presence in North America, we are seeking a seasoned and strategic Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement and strategic sourcing efforts. Position Summary The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and services essential to our manufacturing and aftermarket operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who excels in supplier negotiations, cost control, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Purchasing Manager will play a vital role in shaping sourcing strategies that support growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with production and inventory goals. Manage supplier selection, evaluation, and performance reviews. Negotiate contracts and long-term agreements to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Sales teams to forecast demand and align procurement strategies. Monitor key procurement metrics (on-time delivery, purchase price variance, supplier lead time, etc.). Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP/MRP systems and support continuous improvement in material planning. Lead cost-saving initiatives, including vendor consolidation and alternate sourcing strategies. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety standards, and applicable trade/import regulations. Supervise and develop procurement team members and logistics personnel Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. 5 years of progressive purchasing and domestic strategic sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in managing both domestic and international suppliers. Strong ERP/MRP experience (proALPHA, SAP, Oracle, IFS, Epicor, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent), and advanced Excel skills. Excellent negotiation and contract management capabilities. APICS, CPIM, or CPSM certification is a plus. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
