Reporting to: Logistics Manager
Role Overview
The Production Planner is responsible for drafting and monitoring production and material plans to ensure that manufacturing processes meet customer delivery schedules and material availability.
Key Activities:
* Draft material and production plans, perform feasibility analyses, and schedule delivery times in coordination with the Production Manager.
* Monitor order progress and job-order production plans.
* Evaluate customer requests against capacity and material supply status, collaborating with Customer Service and Procurement to address any critical order-fulfillment issues.
* Optimize the supply of components and semi-finished products from contract suppliers and manage raw-material delivery schedules.
* Participate in departmental production progress meetings.
* In case of critical issues, work with production managers to define recovery or extraordinary production plans.
* Interface with customers and all internal functions involved in production processes.
* Provide confirmed delivery dates for goods to customers.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ideally with a management or industrial focus).
* Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.
* Technical Knowledge:
* Production-scheduling methodologies and logistics/production flows.
* Scheduling logic based on takt time.
* Familiarity with MRP, WMS, and MES systems.
* Advanced MS Excel skills and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI will be considered a plus
