Social Art Project Manager Opportunity
About the Role:
The Great Wall Institute is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day production of its 8-year initiative, extending The Great Wall of Los Angeles Mural. This interior mural studio will house painting production for six new decades of the mural, beginning in the 1960s and ending in 2020.
Under the guidance of internationally renowned artist and Artistic Director, Judy Baca, the Project Manager will lead the team responsible for researching and designing each decade's artistic content, followed by full-scale painting production with a team of mural artists and youth at the Great Wall Institute.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day production at the Great Wall Institute
* Work closely with the artistic team to research and design each decade's content
* Manage a team of mural artists and youth during painting production
* Contribute to creating a body of public imagery promoting social change
