* Supports global / regional procurement initiatives and optimizes the supply base through consolidation, rationalization and optimization initiatives
* Participates in or leads cross-functional initiatives to reduce cost and improve service level for both internal and external customers
* Identify and execute cost risk mitigation initiatives and leads Change Control process related to Procurement raw material discontinuations through Trackwise system and in alignment with related SOP
* Negotiates and monitors prices for raw materials managed locally leveraging, if applicable, on volumes of purchases at various locations and maintains the full raw materials price catalogue updated within the ERP system together with lead time and MOQ related information
* Processing new supplier requests through Financial Shared Services
* Communicates raw material price changes and / or discrepancies and determines financial impact ensuring these are receipt by local Finance and passed to customers
* Partner with Global Category Leaders sharing Aprilia site raw material information (e.g. volumes, specs, prices, customers, MOQ, lead time etc.) and support them to implement their Category strategy in the site and execute on Category Management projects
* Participating in the Quotation Process for raw materials involved running appropriate RFQ, making supplier recommendations and providing best pricing based on dual source strategy
* Supports Supply Chain Team on escalation to expedite urgent raw material deliveries and to find solutions in case of raw material shortage/discontinuation working in synergy, if applicable, with the other SOT Catalent sites which might support
* Supports R&D in identifying new raw materials, recommending suppliers to develop, collecting documents and samples
* Supports the implementation of new raw material supplier qualification and Supplier Assurance Quality Team on escalation to maintain 100% active raw material suppliers' qualification status
* Discusses defective or unacceptable raw material or services with quality assurance or quality control personnel, users, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action
* Optimizes cash by extending supplier payment terms and/or negotiating term discounts
* Ensures full compliance with Catalent policy acquiring CDA signed off by all suppliers, discussing with Legal in case of change needed, and keeping track of their status in the local database
* Instrumental in ensuring that the suppliers adhere to the Terms & Conditions specified on the purchase order and resolves challenges
* Complies with and follows all procedures within the company Security, EHS and Global Trade policies
* Support the Site Procurement Manager to analyze PPV and MCR trends, to update GPST and define new opportunities and lead cost reduction activities increasing year over year the spend in dual source
* Support the Site Procurement manager also in the reporting and analysis of direct material spend (YTD and YTG) to identify cost-saving opportunities and discrepancies between actual and forecasted saving.
