Rottapharm Biotech, a research company dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative drugs in various therapeutic areas such as rheumatology, pain and inflammation, immunology, and immuno-oncology, is seeking a researcher to join the R&D team. The researcher will be involved in the discovery and development of next-generation AAV capsids for use in gene therapies targeting osteoarthritis (OA) tissues. Key Responsibilities : Prepare and maintain cell cultures (including primary cell cultures), perform studies and experiments such as tissue processing, biochemical analyses, DNA, RNA, and protein isolation, qRT-PCR, ELISA, and immunoblot processing. Plan and execute in vitro and in vivo screening campaigns in human OA tissues and animal OA models; analyze biodistribution and transduction profiles across tissues. Develop and implement in vitro screening assays, including binding assays and transduction readouts in relevant cell lines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on vector design, production, and payload optimization. Analyze data and manage experimental results. Maintain accurate records of experimental design and outcomes; contribute to internal reports, presentations, and publications. Qualifications : BSc, MSc, or PhD in a relevant subject such as Virology, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology with an AAV focus. Strong molecular biology and cell culture skills, including mammalian cell culture (stable and adherent lines), vector engineering, genetic engineering, PCR, transfection, transduction, and assay development. Strong foundation in AAV biology and capsid structure-function. Experience with high-throughput screening and NGS-based analysis is preferred. Prior work with in vivo models is preferred. Experience in FACS analysis and IHC is a plus. Excellent analysis, accuracy, confidentiality skills, and a strong attitude to achieve company goals. J-18808-Ljbffr
