Ph3About the Position /h3 pWe are looking for a Hardware Memory Expert to join the Electronics Business team. The Hardware Memory Expert is part of the HW System Architecture Team (HWSA) and reports directly to the HWSA leader. This position is based at our office in Corbetta (MI). /p pHe/she follows memory technology trends that could be part of a Cockpit, Body Computer, Telematics Units, Zone Control Unit or Cluster ECU, and is responsible for defining memory requirements considering MCU and SOC architectures, physical designs, firmware and verification requirements coordinated by the System Architect Leader. /p pHe/she contributes to the early definition of the product during the Offer Phase to enable proper evaluation of the memory perimeter and related cost. During product development, he/she leads the development team (HW, BSP, Manufacturing, Purchasing) to define the impact of the memory choice in terms of calibration, production time, dual source for component replacement and in general all tasks impacted by the HW memory choice. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDefine the Memory Architecture by analyzing available memory technologies, memory size, memory bandwidth and latency. /li liMonitor technology trends on HW functionalities also comparing proposals from different technology and vendors. /li liBe an expert in Flash, SRAM, DRAM fundamentals and emerging memories (MRAM, RRAM, HBM, 3D‑stacked memories). /li liDemonstrate expertise in memory controller, protocols and parameters. /li liKnow‑how in CPU/GPU memory needs, on‑chip vs. off‑chip memory. /li liExperience with efficient programming technologies at production. /li liParticipate in competitor analysis activity transferring best design practices to internal team. /li liProvide governance in the HW design team about different implementation proposals. /li liDeploy the relative parts of System FMEA and qualitative FTA. /li liSupport the Functional Safety Management Team in the technical safety concept definition. /li liSupport the Testing team in the definition of the industrialization requirements. /li liSupport the HW, layout, mechanical, thermal, optical development teams during review and implementation of critical requirements (e.g., safety‑relevant). /li liEstimate System performances also defining and using suitable models, in order to define the optimal memory resources budget. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li+5 years of experience in the Automotive Tier1 or Tier2 industry. /li liElectronic Engineering Degree or Information Science Degree. /li liElectronics component technology knowledge with focus on memories. /li liExperience on HW design, HW product development or HW production. /li liThe above competences have to be maturated in automotive area or other large‑scale market. /li liExperience in planning, monitoring, and control activities. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liAdvanced written and spoken English. /li liBasic spoken Italian (not mandatory). /li /ul h3Other Skills /h3 ul liTechnical leadership. /li liAbility to work with multinational distributed teams. /li liHigh capacity of synthesis for all the technical issues. /li liProblem‑solving attitude. /li liWilling to travel to the customer, supplier, and MARELLI locations involved. /li /ul h3What Does This Position Offer You /h3 ul liFast‑paced yet supportive and high‑performing international team with an inspiring ambition to transform the future of mobility. /li liSupport in onboarding and further training that will set you up with Marelli’s speed. /li liA hybrid work model, helping you to achieve work‑life balance–combining the best of both spending time working remotely, benefitting from focus time, and purposeful co‑creation time in the office. /li /ul h3Take the Next Step /h3 pTogether, we will drive the world towards a safer, greener, and better‑connected future. /p pAre you ready to make your mark, shape the future of the automotive industry, and drive the growth of the business? /p pTalk to us!
