Position Summary
As part of our international HR team, the HR Manager - Italy will lead all core HR activities in our Italian operations, ensuring strong alignment with our global HR strategy while adapting practices to fit local regulations and cultural nuances. This is a hands-on role that blends strategic thinking with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for various departments
Act as a point of contact for employee queries, ensuring a supportive work environment
Implement and monitor performance review cycles and feedback mechanisms
Design and execute training programs to support career development and upskilling
Promote company culture through internal and external initiatives
Coordinate and support local corporate social responsibility and inclusion programs
Ensure adherence to Italian labor law and internal HR policies
Maintain HR dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision making
Support the rollout of global HR practices across our European teams
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or additional HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) will be considered a plus
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial or senior generalist capacity, ideally within a dynamic, international, or fast-scaling environment.
Deep and up-to-date knowledge of Italian labor legislation, social security, and employment regulations, with the ability to ensure full compliance and advise confidently on legal matters
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders at all levels, and handle sensitive matters with empathy and discretion.
Full professional fluency in both Italian and English, spoken and written, is essential
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting where priorities can shift quickly. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and thrive under ambiguity
Proficiency in HR software platforms (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools is a plus
