PpThe Quarry Supervisor oversees daily operations at the quarry, ensuring efficient and safe extraction, processing, and delivery of raw materials to meet production targets. That’s why we give you a wide range of benefits to choose from. /p ul lilow-cost premiums even for family coverage /li liCompany-paid life/ADD insurance /li liCompany-paid short-term disability /li li401k/Company Funded Pension Program (program is dependent upon location and job type) /li liEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) /li liAdditional voluntary benefits /li /ul h3Compensation /h3 p$85,000 - $100,000 is the associated range, depending on experience. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupervise and coordinate daily quarry production activities, including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and crushing /li liEnsure compliance with all MSHA/OSHA, environmental, and company safety policies and procedures /li liMonitor production metrics, report on performance, and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime /li liOversee the maintenance and safe operation of quarry equipment, ensuring adherence to preventative maintenance schedules /li liSupport mine planning activities by coordinating extraction sequences and aligning production with long-term quarry plans /li liManage stockpiles, inventory, and raw material flow to ensure consistent quality and supply for downstream operations /li liCoordinate and supervise blasting operations, ensuring proper handling of explosives and compliance with regulations /li liConduct inspections of work areas, equipment, and processes to ensure quality standards and identify hazards /li liProvide leadership, training, and performance feedback to quarry employees to develop skills and maintain high morale /li liCollaborate with plant, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure operational goals are achieved /li liResponsible for creating shift schedules, managing crew overtime assignments, arranging for vacation coverage, and approving employee timesheets /li liFills in for the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Manager when that employee is on vacation /li liMay be required to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as production demands dictate /li /ul h3Education /h3 pBachelor’s degree in mining engineering, geology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered /p h3Requirements/Qualifications /h3 ul li5+ years of experience in quarry, aggregates, or mining operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role /li liComprehensive knowledge of quarry equipment, production methods, and safety regulations /li liStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills /li liProficiency in quarry management software, MS Office Suite, and data reporting tools /li liRequires regular presence in outdoor and industrial environments - Ability to work with exposure to dust, noise, and weather conditions /li liQuarry Operations Management – Knowledge of quarrying processes, blasting, crushing, screening, and material handling /li liEquipment Operation Maintenance – Proficiency with heavy equipment and knowledge of preventative maintenance /li liMine Planning Scheduling – Ability to interpret quarry plans and align daily production with long-term strategies /li liSafety Regulatory Compliance – Strong knowledge of MSHA/OSHA and environmental safety requirements /li liQuality Control Material Specifications – Understanding of raw material testing and compliance standards /li liDrilling Blasting Fundamentals – Knowledge of blast design, drilling techniques, and vibration control /li liProduction Reporting Data Analysis – Skills in using quarry management systems and performance reporting /li liEnvironmental Management – Knowledge of dust suppression, water management, and reclamation requirements /li liInventory Stockpile Management – Ability to manage stockpiles and ensure proper material flow /li liTeam Leadership Training – Strong leadership and crew development skills /li /ul h3Conditions of Employment /h3 pSuccessful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
