As part of the development of our entity Abylsen Italy, specialized in Transport (automotive, aeronautics, defense, space and rail), Heavy Industry (metallurgy, steel plant), Energy and IT, we are looking for a Electrical Simulation Engineer in the Energy Sector to integrate our team of consultants and bring your expertise on all our projects.
What is the challenge?
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
* Develop and maintain EMT models in PSCAD to support power system studies and grid connection activities.
* Integrate plant models (PV, Wind, BESS, STATCOM) with network EMT models, ensuring correct initialization and stable dynamic behaviour.
* Support RMS–EMT consistency and benchmarking activities between PSCAD and PSS/E models.
* Perform EMT simulation studies related to grid stability, control interactions and weak grid conditions, under senior guidance.
* Contribute to technical documentation and reporting for grid code compliance and model validation.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* 4–5 years of experience in power system studies with exposure to EMT simulations in PSCAD.
* Solid knowledge of power system dynamics and inverter-based resources (PV, Wind, BESS).
* Understanding of RMS tools (e.g. PSS/E) and interest in RMS–EMT model alignment.
* Ability to work on multi-component or multi-vendor models with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
