Purpose of the position
As a Welding QC Inspector, you will report to the Quality Control Manager and be part of the Energy Carriers team at the Bioraffineria di Livorno project. You will manage and support a team of 10 people.
Responsibilities
1. Execute inspections according to the Quality Control Plans on materials, equipment, and construction activities, issuing relevant Quality Records.
2. Verify welding parameters and consumables during operations.
3. Check the availability of welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and qualifications.
4. Witness mechanical tests at the laboratory during PQR execution.
5. Ensure the availability and suitability of welding equipment, consumables, pre-heating, welding, heat treatment, bevels, and repair extent, taking corrective actions as needed.
6. Ensure compliance of welding, heat treatment, and hardness testing with relevant codes and specifications.
7. Perform pipe line-up checks to verify compliance with specifications and material traceability.
8. Conduct visual inspections and prepare relevant reports.
9. Manage documentation related to tests, controls, and inspections, ensuring records are properly stored in the final As Built dossier.
10. Oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring adherence to approved Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans, witnessing inspections, and collecting records.
Qualifications
* Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
* Experience: At least 10 years in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
* Languages: Italian and English.
* Technical Skills: Knowledge of warehouse procedures, instrument calibration, industry standards (ASTM, ASME, ACI, UPC, AWS), NDT methodologies, welding process inspection, and certifications such as IWI-C, IWI-S, IWI-B, CSWIP 3.2, CSWIP 3.1.
* IT Skills: Database management and system administration.
