Overview We are looking for a talented Operation Excellence Specialist to join our growing team. Based at the Oterra Italian site located in Canossa, you’ll join a dedicated team where you lead and provide technical expertise to achieve corporate goals for Operation Excellence performance and implement and facilitate continuous improvement activities and projects within the plant's Operational Excellence program focused on asset care management. You will also work with the global team on projects aimed at the environment and innovation. The role reports to the plant's Engineering and Process Technology Manager. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate and facilitate the implementation of the Operational Excellence program common to all Oterra production sites. Create teamwork and interface daily with the various internal company functions and with the global team of Operational Excellence. Analyze production processes to bring them to operational excellence. Support the improvement of company performance in terms of productivity, production cost management and customer satisfaction. Support the employees training due to the creation of a corporate culture oriented to lean thinking. Propose, facilitate and accelerate change and develop lean solutions. Elaborate projects and activities reports. Support and manage production operating instructions. Active participation in the analysis of losses and in the identification and prioritization of opportunities for improving plant performance. Collaborate in the dissemination of best practices, facilitating the sharing of experiences with the other production sites of the group. Experience and Skills / Qualifications Master degree (preferably in Management or Mechanical Engineering focused on food industry) or Master degree in Food Science and Technology and Chemistry Industry. Advanced English and Italian level. Fluency in Microsoft Office programs. Ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams. Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach; strong written and spoken communication skills. Good analytical and project management skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, processes, tools and methodologies (5S, TPM, Problem solving tools, visual management etc.) and Green Belt certification (preferential requirement). Experience in operations activities, in particular on the production processes of the food industry (preferential requirement). Knowledge of SAP system (preferential requirement). Managerial skills: orientation to results; excellent analytical skills; concrete and operational approach; ability to actively listen and involve people; adaptability and ability to relate to all levels of the corporate hierarchy; organizational skills in multi-tasking and problem-solving management; proactivity and ability to work in a team; good organizational skills; willingness to travel.
