We are currently looking for a City Manager to run our popular Animal Health Program in Milan which provides shadowing opportunities for future veterinarians. As City Manager of the Milan Animal Health Program, you will be the main responsible for the success of the Fellowship Programs in your city and the main point of reference for groups of 5-8 students.
You will organize and oversee all student activities and logistics and act as a group leader, mentor, and main responsible for their safety and well-being during the program.
Your day-to-day activities include
Planning the observation rotations with the doctors and mentors at the vet clinic, sanctuaries and animal rescues
Organizing and executing group activities for the week
Coordinating and leading groups of students throughout all planned activities
Finding the best local partners for tours, activites and meals
Negotiating with providers to bring the most value within the budget
Communicating with students pre-departure and during their time with us
Checking in daily on students' safety and well-being, providing information, guidance, and support
Solving all sorts of problems, from trivial issues to major crisis situations: you're the leader and the person everyone turns to
Being available to students 24/7 in case of need during their stay
Who you are

fluent in English and Italian language
superior cultural competence

ability to navigate cultural norms and customs
a good knowledge of Milan
experience in hospitality / event management / education / travel / healthcare

Salary
Approx 2000 euro/month salary + bonus
Transportation, group meals, and excursions fully covered
Full-time contract from June to August, training included - note that this is a seasonal contract
