Job Title: Solutions Engineer
Role Overview
The Trellix Solutions Engineer engages with prospective customers to understand their cybersecurity needs, crafts tailored solutions, and presents product demonstrations showcasing how Trellix solutions address those needs. They collaborate closely with the sales team to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients and channel partners in Italy and across the EMEA region, helping them address cybersecurity and data protection challenges.
* Recommend appropriate Trellix solutions tailored to specific client environments.
* Lead technical discussions, live demonstrations, and product presentations, articulating the value proposition to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Partner closely with sales teams to develop tailored proposals, conduct technical workshops, and lead proof‑of‑concept projects addressing customer use cases.
* Support and train local partners, equipping them to position and demonstrate Trellix solutions in the Polish market.
* Perform detailed security assessments of client infrastructures, identify vulnerabilities, and provide actionable recommendations aligned with the Trellix portfolio.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders, developing internal champions who advocate for Trellix solutions.
* Represent Trellix at industry and partner events, engage in public speaking, contribute to webinars, panels, and forums, and stay ahead of industry trends to refine offerings.
Required Experience and Skills
* Minimum 5 years in pre‑sales engineering or technical consulting in cybersecurity or IT security, ideally within a vendor, systems integrator, or value‑added distributor.
* Strong understanding of core cybersecurity concepts: EDR, XDR, network security, incident response, threat intelligence, and DLP.
* Hands‑on experience with at least two security technologies such as EDR, XDR, NDR, or DLP; comfortable conducting PoCs/PoVs and supporting implementations.
* Knowledge of EU regulatory and compliance frameworks.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate complex concepts into clear, impactful messages for both technical and business audiences.
* Proven track record of influencing technical sales processes and securing deals by addressing technical challenges.
* Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, vendor‑specific) are a plus.
* Fluent in Italian and English; willingness to travel across Italy; based in Milan.
