The environment is hierarchical, similar to tribal, federal, or military organizations. This position reports directly to the Tribe's IT / GIS Manager and involves work in an office, outdoors under various weather conditions, and in vehicles on different terrains, including remote areas. Field work may include GPS and UAS equipment, with occasional lifting of equipment up to 70 lbs. /ppbResponsibilities include: /b /pulliCoordinating technical GIS projects and managing resources /liliDesigning, creating, and maintaining the Tribe’s Enterprise GIS System and data /liliAssisting in data needs assessment and procurement /liliPerforming GIS analysis and classification /liliProducing maps, reports, and GIS products /liliDeveloping GIS applications and processes /liliImplementing quality control measures /liliProviding technical support and training /liliEvaluating new GIS technologies /liliManaging the Tribe’s UAS Program, including flight planning, data collection, and imagery management /li /ulpOther duties include assisting with GIS product recommendations, staff evaluation, professional development, grant management, supervision, and additional tasks as assigned. /ppbQualifications /b /pulliSupport the Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s vision, mission, and core values /liliCompliance with tribal health policies, including vaccination /liliBachelor’s degree in GIS or related field + 4 years’ GIS experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience /liliProficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft SQL Server, Esri geodatabases, ArcGIS software, programming languages (Python, SQL, .NET, HTML, JavaScript), and peripheral devices /liliExperience with UAS, including flight planning, data processing, and FAA Part 107 certification /liliKnowledge of GIS applications in natural resources and land management /liliStrong research, communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects /li /ulpApplicants may undergo interviews and practical testing.
