Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars. /p h3Role Mission /h3 pDefine the standard architectures for one or more mechanical train subsystems, hereafter referred to as System Architecture Areas (SAA), establishing the relevant technical referentials and providing technical support to projects (deployment, tailoring of standard solutions, problem solving).br/Translate these architectures at project level, leading the engineering activities associated with the assigned SAA and coordinating the development and technical procurement of mechanical subsystems.br/The role operates using Requirements Engineering methodology, ensuring consistency, traceability, and technical quality across the entire subsystem perimeter. /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 h3Requirements Management and System Architecture /h3 ul liDevelop technical requirements based on reference documents (Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform, Customer). /li liAllocate requirements to the various subsystems and develop transversal requirements in collaboration with domain specialists. /li liDefine the train system architecture, operating modes, and associated functionalities. /li liEnsure consistency and compatibility among all subsystem specifications. /li liPrepare subsystem specifications and, when required, the architectural description in line with the overall system architecture. /li /ul h3Product Management and Catalogue Interface /h3 ul liComplete the “Entry connector” to query the standard product catalogue. /li liFor non-catalogue products, in coordination with the central standardization body: ul liDraft the preliminary technical specification during the bid phase. /li liPrepare the final technical specification for supplier consultation and manage technical interactions until design freeze. /li liLead the technical relationship with suppliers, monitoring commitments on cost, schedule, quality, risks, and validation activities. /li liParticipate in technical Design Reviews. /li /ul /li /ul h3Project Support /h3 ul liSupport the TPM (Technical Project Manager) in defining the applicable train configuration. /li liCoordinate interfaces, performance aspects, and technical issue resolution among the different engineering teams during the detailed design phase. /li liParticipate in technical meetings with the customer upon request from project management. /li /ul h3Required Technical Skills /h3 ul liAbility to read and understand technical drawings and functional schematics. /li liFamiliarity with technical procurement processes and supplier management. /li liVery good written and spoken English proficiency. /li /ul h3Preferred Technical Skills /h3 ul liFamiliarity with railway mechanical systems. /li liExperience in System Engineering and Requirements Management (DOORS, Polarion, or equivalent). /li liKnowledge of railway standards (EN, IEC, RAMS regulations, safety standards). /li liExpertise in system architectures and subsystem interface management. /li /ul h3Soft Skills /h3 ul liAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. /li liStrong problem-solving orientation. /li liMethodical mindset, attention to traceability, and rigorous technical documentation management. /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills. /li liProactivity and decision-making autonomy. /li /ul pYou don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
