We are seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead the brand's debut in Rome and establish Baccarat as one of the city's most relevant cultural and social destinations.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the voice, presence, and positioning of Baccarat Hotel Rome from pre-opening through launch and beyond.
This role is not for a traditional marketer. We are looking for someone deeply connected to Rome — someone who understands the city's luxury landscape, knows the people shaping culture, and is genuinely passionate about what is happening across fashion, design, art, dining, and lifestyle.
You will be the connector between Baccarat and the city itself, creating meaningful relationships, influential partnerships, and experiences that place the hotel at the centre of Rome's cultural conversation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the marketing strategy, brand positioning, and launch of Baccarat Hotel Rome.
Drive PR, communications, social media, content, and digital marketing.
Develop relationships with local tastemakers, media, cultural institutions, artists, designers, and luxury brands.
Create partnerships, events, and activations that embed Baccarat within Rome's social and cultural fabric.
Position the hotel's restaurants and bars as destinations in their own right.
Work closely with Sales, Revenue, Operations, and Corporate Marketing to drive awareness and commercial success.
About You
Significant marketing leadership experience within luxury hotels is essential.
Proven success in luxury hospitality pre-openings or iconic luxury brands.
Deeply connected within Rome's luxury, cultural, creative, and lifestyle communities.
Naturally curious and passionate about the city's evolving social and cultural scene.
A strong networker and relationship builder with credibility and influence.
Exceptional storytelling, communication, and brand-building skills.
Fluent in English and Italian.
