Saipem is a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore. Saipem is organized into five business lines: Asset Based Services, Energy Carriers, Offshore Wind, Sustainable Infrastructures, Robotics & Industrialized Solutions.
As a Process Engineer Expert in Naval Systems with experience in floaters design, you will join our Department TEAM (Technology based Activities and Methods), which deals with the process design of Utilities and Offsite units within the Energy Carriers business line, performing activities such as:
* Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams and Heat and Material Balances to illustrate unit operations and plant data
* Sizing of Equipment and Instrumentation, preparing Process Data sheets and Duty Specifications
* Elaboration of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs), Cause and Effect Charts, Control Narratives, and Logic Sequences
* Development of hydraulic and thermal calculations for steady state and transient operations
* Preparation of Operating Manuals and Test Run procedures
* Participation in multidisciplinary project reviews to ensure systems comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices
In Saipem, these activities may apply to various competitive, safe, and sustainable plants and processes, contributing to the energy transition towards Net Zero. Your experience in floaters design will support Saipem's expertise in Floating Production Structures (FPS), including ideation, design, procurement, fabrication, integration, operation, and maintenance, providing onshore-equivalent installations for the production, storage, and transshipment of oil and gas (FPSO) in complex environments.
