We are seeking a candidate for the Research & Development Global Central Function, responsible for testing electronic systems and components from concept through to production. The role requires a strong electronics and testing background, creativity in problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Main Responsibilities
* Analyze and process hardware specifications of electronic control units for embedded and safety-critical applications, ensuring ASPICE compliance within mechatronic systems (braking and non-braking).
* Define validation plans with customers and suppliers, develop test specifications, and oversee execution during development and validation phases, both in-house and at suppliers.
* Contribute to defining test strategies and V&V plans.
* Develop test execution plans.
* Prepare and execute EE/EMC tests for mechatronic hardware systems and components on benches and vehicles, adhering to schedules.
* Analyze data and develop new testing tools.
* Compile and edit test reports and documentation.
* Identify issues, analyze causes, and propose solutions.
* Manage electronic instrumentation with attention to calibration, safety, and usage requirements.
* Select components for automotive wiring harnesses, design connection systems, and oversee prototyping and debugging.
* Implement continuous preventive control activities for system safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
* Contribute to creating documents, methods, procedures, and tools for the area.
* Support the development and commissioning of new instruments, test benches, and loads.
* Assist system testing, electromechanical validation, and road testing teams regarding electrical/electronic aspects.
* Support transition from prototype to manufacturing, considering DFM and DFA, in collaboration with layout experts.
* Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies in electronics design.
Minimum Requirements
* Master's Degree in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
* Proficiency in English.
* 3-5 years of experience in electronic testing within the automotive sector, especially regarding ECU.
* Strong data analysis skills, including tools, visualization, and pre/post-processing methods.
* Proficiency with electronic measuring tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, voltmeter).
* Experience in defining, implementing, executing, analyzing, and reporting test cases and procedures.
* Knowledge of EE/EMC standards.
* Hands-on skills in electronics testing.
Nice to Have
* Experience communicating with suppliers and external entities.
* Proficiency in EE/EMC testing software (e.g., Autowave, Isocontrol).
