About the Role
As a Senior Specialist Legal Editor, you will use your technical expertise and substantial experience as a practising lawyer in employment law and practice in Italy to create and maintain insightful and customer‑focused content for online publication, and to support the development of Thomson Reuters AI‑powered legal solutions.
* Research, write and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs.
* Review and edit content written by colleagues or external experts.
* Keep up to date with legal, practice and market developments to ensure content remains accurate and relevant.
* Use your legal expertise to support the development of customer‑focused ThomsonReuters AI‑powered legal solutions.
* Use your legal expertise and editorial skills to support the development and application of internal AI editorial tools.
* Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the legal market, customers and competitors and deliver insight into business strategies, products, sales, marketing and technology development.
* Interact effectively with customers, consultation boards and contributors and collaborate across business functions.
* Attend training events, conferences and talks and network with customers, potential customers and industry leaders.
* Help develop PracticalLawItaly and, more generally, PracticalLaw.
* Assist the wider ThomsonReuters team, working with product management, sales, marketing, technology where necessary.
About You
We are looking for a qualified Italian lawyer (avvocato) who has excellent writing and communication skills in English and meets the following profile:
* At least 5years post‑qualification experience working as an employment lawyer in a law firm or in‑house in Italy.
* Substantial experience in Italian employment law.
* Excellent writing and communication skills in English and a passion for writing about legal practice accurately, concisely and in plain English.
* A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively both independently and in teams.
* Strong technical skills and the ability to utilise various tools, including generative AI technologies, to enhance productivity and accuracy.
* Adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects and tasks within the generative AI space and with emerging technologies.
* A curious mindset towards the intersection of AI and legal practice, adaptable and open to change.
* Experience using AI tools in legal work.
* Excellent knowledge of online research databases.
* Comfortable working with ambiguity in a matrixed environment and proven ability to build strong relationships with diverse teams.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Proficient translation skills to translate legal documentation from Italian to English and vice versa.
Education & Certification
Must be Italian bar qualified.

Compensation
Base salary: 55,600EUR–103,300EUR. Annual bonus may be eligible based on enterprise and individual performance.
