As a Technical Services Helpdesk Specialist, you will act as the first point of contact with InterSystems staff when they are experiencing a technical problem or request. This is an internship opportunity intended for fresh graduates from technical high schools or universities.
Responsibilities:
* To provide technical assistance to the local InterSystems staff using the appropriate ticketing tools (ServiceNOW). This can take the form of:
o End user device or virtual machine support
o Telephony or Video conferencing support
o Printer issues
o Application issues or access rights
o Managing equipment or software purchase requests
* To assist HR in the onboarding of staff and performing closure actions for departing staff.
* To build and configure end-user equipment in accordance with standard policies and processes.
* To manage, record and update asset lists for local infrastructure and user endpoints.
* Manage business continuity measures on a day-to-day operational basis (i.e. backup monitoring)
* Escalation of problems to the relevant specialist teams within Technical Services as required.
* Respect and maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive files owned by the various departments, notably HR (Human Resources) and Finance, and office-wide emails.
Skills:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Desktop support skills, centered around Windows and Microsoft Office suites.
* A detail-based approach to problem solving.
* Ability to respond promptly to technical support issues.
* Ability to work in a process and KPI driven environment, while maintaining a flexible approach to meet the varied needs of the business
* Desirable: ability to travel internationally to support operations at other locations when needed.
Education & Certifications:
Required: Technical High School Diploma or relevant University Degree
Required: Fluency in Italian, professional knowledge of English
