The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse activities, including receiving and distribution operations, planning and monitoring optimal space utilization and efficient inventory flow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Prioritize workload and communicate work orders that need to be completed.
* Assist in the planning and control of daily workload and meeting deadlines.
* Provide supervision and leadership to employees.
* Motivate team members to ensure deadlines are understood and achieved.
* Assist in training and orientation.
* Maintain safety and cleanliness within the warehouse.
* Maintain inventory materials on the work floor.li>
* Ensure all documents are filled out and completed accurately by forklift operators.
* Handle forklift operator issues that arise.
* Count materials accurately and complete logs and reports accordingly.
* Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* APICS Certified with demonstrated application of the APICS Body of Knowledge within past work experience.
* Systems knowledge and design/selection/implementation of materials MRP, inventory optimization, S&OP/demand planning, purchasing, inventory tracking, voice barcodes, RFID, etc.
* LEAN training with practical application and leadership experience.
* Multi‑plant management preferred with focus on managing client/provider relationships between vertically integrated plants; JIT in a demand‑driven / continuous flow environment.
* Materials management experience in an environment with customized manufacturing multi‑level bill of material.
* Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and ability to learn company enterprise systems as needed.
* Organized, able to prioritize and keep deadlines, change direction quickly and adapt to various work environments easily.
* Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, following instructions.
* Ability to work effectively in group settings through collaborative, solutions‑oriented and win‑win approaches.
* Develop presentations to be delivered to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
* Apply advanced mathematical concepts such as quadratic equations and basic logic functions (if‑then‑else).
* Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
* Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Education and/or Experience
* 5–8 years experience with materials supply chain or related functions.
* Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Warehouse, Business or related field required.
