About the RoleFor one of our manufacturing plant in Italy, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager who will lead the Purchasing Department and contribute strategically to the plant’s operational efficiency and competitiveness.Job PurposeThe Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services required for plant operations, achieving the best balance between cost, quality, and service, in full compliance with the local Purchasing Procedure and Group guidelines.The role also includes managing the Purchasing Office and providing close support to the Mill Manager through analysis and reporting activities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop a team of purchasing, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and continuous developmentDraft, maintain, and ensure compliance with the local Purchasing ProcedureMonitor plant requirements and plan purchasing activities accordinglyManage supplier relationships and carry out supplier scoutingRequest, evaluate, and negotiate quotes and commercial termsApprove purchase orders in line with the defined authorization strategyAnalyze supplier performance and identify cost reduction and savings opportunitiesEnsure confidentiality in handling sensitive dataPrepare internal and Group reporting in accordance with official deadlinesPeriodically analyze key company KPI’sMain ActivitiesManage tenders and negotiations with suppliersSupervise supplier contractsHandle and resolve commercial issues with suppliersPerform internal control activitiesCoordinate with other company departments and Central SourcingPerform cost analysis and monitoringRequirements & SkillsBachelor’s degree in economics or related fields is preferredExperience in team managementExperience in similar roles within structured organizations (industrial background preferred)Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skillsAccuracy, flexibility, results-oriented mindset, and problem‑solving attitudeHighly self‑motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skillsFluent English (minimum level B2)SAP knowledge is considered a plusIf you are willing to challenge yourself and make a real impact, you will be part of a collaborative and challenging work environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
