Software Engineer – Cloud, IoT & Full‐Stack (Freelance | 20 hrs/week | Pharma Sector)

We're partnering with a leading pharmaceutical company in Mantova, specialized in designing and producing advanced fermentation tanks and bioprocessing solutions. We are looking for a Software Engineer who can drive cloud‐native development, software modernization, and regulatory‐compliant solutions in a highly innovative industrial environment.

This is a part‐time freelance role (20 hrs/week) with remote work after an initial on‐site period.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead software migration projects aligned with CRA international specifications
• Provide technical oversight across Azure Cloud, containerization, IoT, and customer‐hosted technologies
• Review, rewrite, and optimize front‐end and back‐end code in JavaScript and Python
• Apply Agile methodologies with strong focus on CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure all development activities comply with international regulatory standards
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define goals, timelines, and deliverables

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expertise in Azure Cloud services (deployment, scaling, integration)
• Strong background in Open‐Source Software (Linux), JavaScript, SQL, Python
• Proven Full‐Stack Development experience
• Hands‐on experience with containerization (Docker, AKS)
• Solid understanding of open‐source components, security, and lifecycle management
• Strong security mindset with ability to assess and improve existing solutions
• Experience with Agile and CI/CD
• Background in regulated industries and interpreting international compliance requirements
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with CRA regulatory compliance
• Full‐stack development in regulated environments
• Fluent in Italian

Working Mode

• Initial on‐site period in Mantova, then remote
• Approx. 20 hours/week
