Ph3Duties / Responsibilities of this position: /h3ulliIdentify and create new technologies in structural and/or environmental sealing polymeric materials and processes through a technically fundamental approach. /liliDevelop fundamental knowledge on the relationship of materials, processes, structures, and properties. /liliLead a set of RD personnel to independently plan and execute research and development projects to explore new technologies, products, or modes of problem solution. /liliProvide mentorship to less‑experienced associates. /liliGenerate and interpret data in context of problem resolution and effectively communicate findings and direction to other departments in the organization. /liliMaintain and expand expertise in a set of scientific areas, including physical, chemical, analytical, or formulation principles and methods. /liliHelp develop mechanistic understanding of current products and processes. /liliCultivate global collaboration in the internal and external scientific community. /liliSupport patent activities through filing activities, patent surveillance, and defense of our intellectual property. /liliServe as a champion of safety practices in the laboratory and office environments. /liliProvide leadership to technicians and specialists. /liliVery competent with self‑directed work. /liliConstruction, maintenance, and safety responsibilities for laboratory workspace and equipment. /li /ulh3Job Requirements: /h3ulliBS with 10+ years of product development experience, MS with 5+ years of product development experience, or PhD in the sciences, typically in chemistry or material science. /liliAt least 5 years of experience leading and mentoring research and development personnel toward the identification and development of new technologies in a business setting. /liliSelect skills in technical/scientific disciplines, as required. /liliVery adept at maintaining and improving safety requirements in the laboratory and work space. /liliVersed in scientific methods, laboratory apparatus, and communication skills. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
