Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented student to join our Manufacturing Intelligence team in Genoa for a Software Engineering internship.
Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this role will be to help our team explore and define how to maximize the benefits of our existing data warehouse solutions using AI.
More specifically, you will be involved in developing a model or extending the Insight Hub Industry Copilot solution. The goal is to enable it to process natural language requests and generate key performance indicators (KPIs) based on an industry model compliant with the ISA95 standard.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
* You are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Informatic Technologies, or a related field, in Italy.
* You have basic knowledge with AI, LLM and AI Agents, TSQL, C# and .NET framework
* Your excellent communication skills in Italian and good English allow you to collaborate effectively with diverse international teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Some of the main relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server...
* REACT and HTML5 are also appreciated
* Kubernetes or docker or similar containerization technologies
* Cloud services

The Siemens Strategic Student Program (SSP) in Italy offers a part-time (25 hours per week) or full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Based in Genoa, Italy, the program follows a hybrid work model and runs for six months, starting from February. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled at an Italian university for the entire duration of the program, including both Italian and international students. Both curricular and extracurricular internships are accepted.
