PpFor a market-leading car manufacturer based in Italy, we are looking for an bEngine Performance Development Engineer /b. The person will be involved within the Powertrain Testing Development Group, reporting to the Engine Performance Development Team Leader. This role is responsible for developing the base engine calibration to ensure performance targets are achieved in terms of power, emissions, fuel consumption, and drivability. Most activities take place in dedicated engine test cells, but the candidate is expected to support work in other facilities and on vehicles when required. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liInteract with the Engine Technical Office (simulation, concept, and design teams) to bclarify performance targets and expectations before experimental activities /b begin and provide feedback throughout the project. /li liCollaborate with facilities engineers and operational staff to ensure efficient and accurate test preparation and execution. /li liExecute bbase engine calibration /b according to defined procedures and within specified timeframes. /li liReport anomalies during the calibration process promptly to the relevant teams. /li liWork closely with engineers in Emissions, Application, and Vehicle groups to ensure the base calibration meets requirements. /li liPrepare and deliver concise, high-quality technical reports after each interim calibration activity and comprehensive reports at key milestones. /li liPropose improvements to hardware, software, and procedures. /li liEnsure engine performance can be homologated to project targets. /li /ul h3Skills and Requirements /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. /li liMinimum of 3 years’ experience in engine calibration, ideally with high-performance automotive GDI engines. /li liStrong understanding of SI engine fundamentals, particularly the relationship between engine calibration, performance, and emissions. /li liKnowledge of typical instrumentation used in engine test cells. /li liExperience with calibration software (Bosch INCA preferred) and data analysis tools (AVL Concerto and Matlab preferred). /li liFamiliarity with typical ECU software structures. /li liUnderstanding of modern SI engine aftertreatment systems, especially Three-Way Catalysts and Gasoline Particulate Filters. /li liBasic knowledge of emissions regulations and homologation procedures in key markets (EU, USA, China), including Real Driving Emissions testing. /li liPositive attitude toward teamwork, with strong verbal and written communication skills. /li /ul pLocation: Modena area /p h3Reasons to join /h3 pYou will join an innovative and premium environment, strongly focused on quality and technology, actively contributing to the development of high-performance vehicles. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
