Key Job Responsibilities
Lead platform‑specific projects and initiatives on Satellite as well as Ground Systems.
Develop and deploy MAC and PHY software stacks on FPGAs and pre‑silicon platforms for custom modem and beamforming chips.
Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, guiding architecture decisions and mentoring junior staff.
Build automation and tooling that bridges production software from previous generations with next‑generation prototyping platforms.
Communicate priorities with clarity and transparency, making tactical trade‑offs while keeping strategic outcomes in sight.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
8+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
8+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
8+ years of hands‑on experience in embedded programming of common peripherals, communication links, debug tool development, and familiarity with FPGA/Emulation prototyping platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing diagnostics through production phases such as Hardware Validation Testing (HVT), Engineering Validation Testing (EVT), Device Validation Testing (DVT), and Production Validation Testing (PVT).
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is Annually: USA, CA, Sunnyvale – 183,000.00 – 247,600.00 USD; USA, TX, Austin – 159,200.00 – 215,300.00 USD; USA, WA, Redmond – 159,200.00 – 215,300.00 USD. The package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
