To strengthen its technical department, the company is seeking a key professional who will play a central role in the development and execution of strategic projects. Role Mission The Food Process Plant Project Engineer acts as the technical reference point for the design and industrialization of processing plants dedicated to bulk solids in the food sector. The role ensures engineering excellence, regulatory compliance (MOCA, ATEX), process efficiency, and proper project execution, directly contributing to the company's technical competitiveness and long-term growth. Responsabilità Key Responsibilities Process and Technological Engineering · Analyze the physico-chemical properties of raw materials (bulk density, flowability, moisture content, abrasiveness, thermal sensitivity). · Design and size pneumatic conveying systems (dense and dilute phase) and mechanical transport systems (bucket elevators, screw conveyors, disc conveyors). · Engineer storage and extraction systems (silos, hoppers, vibrating bottoms, fluidization systems). · Select and configure milling units (roller mills, hammer mills, pin mills) according to required particle size distribution and heat management constraints. · Integrate sieving systems, magnetic separators, high-precision gravimetric dosing systems, and batch/continuous mixers into the process layout. Hygienic Engineering & Compliance · Apply advanced Hygienic Design principles to ensure cleanability and eliminate contamination risks. · Manage MOCA technical documentation (EC Regulation 1935/2004) for all food-contact components. · Classify ATEX zones for combustible dust and define explosion protection systems (venting, suppression, isolation). · Ensure compliance with Machinery Directive and IFS/BRC standards. Operational Project Management · Oversee technical project execution, ensuring alignment with budget, timeline, and quality standards. · Act as technical interface with clients, suppliers, and internal departments. · Supervise installation, FAT/SAT testing, and plant commissioning. · Define control logics and coordinate PLC/SCADA integration to ensure process traceability and batch control. Competenze Requirements · Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. · 8?10 years of experience in the design of automatic processing plants for flour mills, pasta factories, feed mills, coffee roasting facilities, or confectionery industries. · Proven experience managing technically complex industrial projects. · Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D, Autodesk Inventor, and Vault. · Solid mechanical and fluid-dynamic calculation capabilities. · In-depth knowledge of stainless steels (AISI 304, 316L) and surface treatments (electropolishing, pickling). · Fluent English (mandatory for international project management).
