Ph3Overview /h3 pAWS seeks a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) for our Milan-area data centers. This role leads physical security operations across multiple sites, reporting directly to the Cluster Security Manager. /p h3Key Aspects Of The Role Include /h3 ul liManaging day-to-day physical security operations /li liMaintaining site security posture /li liOverseeing security guard force vendors /li liEnsuring compliance with AWS security standards /li /ul h3Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liResponds to security situations as they arise, based on the direction of the Cluster or Regional Security Manager /li liSupports the on-site contractor security team as the primary security contact during the shift and provides guidance based upon existing Physical Security Standards and local SOP’s. /li liReports all unusual events to the Cluster Manager in a timely manner. /li liProvides guidance and direction to the contract security officers to maximize the effectiveness of the Security department. /li liOversees access control systems and badge deliveries. /li liInvestigates security events via the alarm and CCTV monitoring system. /li liCooperates and coordinates with the Security Operation Center during security incidents or any other security related matter. /li liCreates and constantly improves procedures, processes and workflows using data and metrics to identify issues and areas of improvements. /li liDevelops specific knowledge of the various operational process paths within the Data Center to identify security vulnerabilities. /li liPerform various security inspections, audits and investigations as required and as instructed. /li liTravel to other geographic regions as required. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li3+ years of experience within a similar role in the public or private security industry /li li3+ years of continuous use of Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Word /li li3+ years of experience using data and metrics to improve processes and/or customer satisfaction /li liAbility to integrate into an international work environment with a willingness to travel on company business /li liMust have the ability to be on‑call to support out of business hours emergencies remotely and on‑site /li liEnglish verbal and written communication skills with attention to details /li liMust be prepared and have the ability to work and travel to Data Centers in the Cluster and abroad /li liMust have current driving license and be eligible to drive in Italy /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience using CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems /li liManagement experience of vendors /li liHas used investigation techniques to deep dive on events /li liItalian verbal and written communication skills /li liStrong communication skills /li liAbility to learn and adapt quickly to company tools for data gathering and analysis /li liMetrics oriented /li liAbility to handle pressure and act swiftly and calmly in time of crisis /li liAbility to handle confidential information with care /li liAbility to integrate into an international work environment with a willingness to travel on company business /li /ul h3Equal Employment Opportunity /h3 pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
