About Orient Express Venezia
Orient Express will open its second hotel in Italy at the exceptional in Venice. Architect and interior designer Aline Amar d’Amman, alongside her studio Culture in Architecture, has been entrusted to design and decorate the space.
Venice, once the gateway to Constantinople and a mythical stop on the legendary Orient Express train – that opened its doors in 1919 with the completion of the Simplon tunnel linking Switzerland to Italy – will be the home of the second Orient Express hotel, set to open in 2026.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the initial point of contact for IT-related queries.
2. Provide prompt assistance in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
3. Manage the reimbursement process for staff and faculty, ensuring compliance with school policies and proper documentation. Assist in maintaining LAN and Wi-Fi networks.
4. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and collaborate with senior IT staff to resolve complex problems.
5. Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing accounts payable reconciliations and supporting schedules. Set up workstations, including computers and peripheral devices.
6. Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring they are free of viruses and
7. malware
8. Create and maintain user guides and documentation to help staff troubleshoot common issues.
9. Support the implementation of cybersecurity measures.
10. Collaborate on IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or the roll out of new applications.
Qualifications
11. Diploma in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
12. Up to 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role (fresh graduates with relevant internships or project experience may also apply).
13. Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
14. Familiarity with Windows environments, as well as basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS).
15. Familiarity with MS365 applications and administrative services.
16. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
17. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong customer service orientation.
18. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
