System level activities related to the design and realization of Optical Ground Stations for Laser Communication and/or Satellite Laser Ranging, including:System definition and sizingSub-system requirements downflow, definition and managementDefinition and management of interfaces.Establishment and maintenance of relevant performance budgetsAnalysis and simulation activitiesDefinition of verification approachContribution to integration and verification activitiesContribution to experimental testing activities in the laboratory and/or fieldPreparation of documentationIdentification and Coordination of subcontractors and supervision of their activitiesI/F with Customer
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree or PhD in engineering or physicsMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in optical systems for laser communicationHands-on experience in one or more of the following application areas:free space satellite optical communicationlaser beam propagationlaser physics and photonics.Knowledge of MATLAB/Python/OctaveKnowledge xlwpduy of OfficeResults-oriented, reliable, proactive approach and with a good team working attitude
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE
Relevant technical knowledge in one of these areas:Adaptive optics and wave front sensing technologyLaser physics and photonicsOptical communicationPointing acquisition and trackingKnowledge of software tool for the design and simulation of optical communication systemsKnowledge of ZemaxExperience with requirement management SW (DOORS and similar)
