Responsibilities
Requirement Definition & Concept Development
Translate product and process requirements into clear, robust equipment specifications
Develop scalable automation and packaging concepts together with process engineers, product developers, and operations
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and ROI evaluations to support decision‑making
Equipment Specification & Procurement
Prepare detailed technical specifications and RFQs for new machinery and automation systems
Evaluate and select equipment suppliers through technical reviews, benchmarking, and concept comparisons
Define functional, safety, and digital interface requirements (MES, traceability, safety standards, etc.)
Project Leadership
Lead equipment projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring delivery on budget, schedule, and quality targets
Coordinate and align all stakeholders, including production, quality, IT, maintenance, and external suppliers
Validation & Integration
Support or lead FAT/SAT activities and commissioning of new equipment
Ensure seamless integration of new systems into existing production environments, including digital interfaces
Validate equipment performance against KPIs, quality standards, and operational requirements
Continuous Improvement & Standardization
Drive standardization of equipment and automation concepts across product families
Monitor equipment performance and initiate upgrades, optimizations, and improvement measures
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or a related field
Professional experience in equipment planning preferably in assembly automation or packaging
Knowledge of quality assurance methods and tools (including 8D, process xlwpduy acceptance, statistical process control)
Experience with technical specifications, equipment procurement, and supplier management
Familiarity with standards such as CE marking, machinery directive, ISO 12100
Knowledge of industrial interfaces and systems (MES, SCADA, traceability, OPC-UA)
Excellent knowledge of English, Italian and/or German as an advantage
