This is a hybrid role combining teaching IB Diploma Programme and IGCSE English with SENDCo responsibility, leading the provision for students with additional learning needs across the High School.The successful candidate will deliver high-quality English teaching while also driving inclusive practice, supporting students with diverse learning profiles, and working closely with staff and families to ensure all learners can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.Key ResponsibilitiesTeach English within the IB Diploma Programme (Language & Literature and/or Literature) and IGCSE English Language and LiteraturePlan and deliver engaging, analytical and skills-based lessons aligned with IB philosophyPrepare students for Internal Assessments and IB examinationsLead the SEND provision across the High School (0.75 allocation)Identify students requiring additional support and oversee appropriate interventionsDevelop and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and access arrangementsSupport teachers with differentiation strategies and inclusive classroom practiceLiaise with parents, external specialists and examination boards where requiredEnsure compliance with IB and exam board requirements for access arrangementsPromote a culture of inclusion, wellbeing and student supportContribute to the wider life of the school and uphold safeguarding proceduresEssentialA degree in EnglishA recognised teaching qualificationExperience teaching English at upper secondary levelExperience supporting students with additional learning needsStrong understanding of inclusive education and differentiation strategiesExcellent organisational and communication skillsAbility to balance teaching and leadership responsibilities effectivelyLegal right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)DesirableExperience teaching IB Diploma Programme English and IGCSEPrevious experience as a SENDCo or in a learning support leadership roleFamiliarity with IB and IGCSE access and inclusion policiesExperience in an international school settingItalian language skills (advantageous but not essential)SafeguardingInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
