Job DescriptionOur client is a global renewable energy company and one of Europe's largest independent power producers, with a significant portfolio of operational onshore wind and solar assets.Reporting to the Head of Global HSQE, the HSQE Manager Italy will be responsible for coordinating Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental activities across Italy. The role will establish and maintain a dynamic and proactive HSQE framework supporting the safe and efficient operation of wind and solar farms.
The HSQE Manager will work closely with both global and local teams, including Asset Maintenance, Asset Management, as well as external consultants and contractors, to promote a strong HSQE culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and continuously improve safety and environmental performance across operations in Italy.
LocationThe candidate must be based in Italy, ideally Milan.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and ensure the implementation of HSQE policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to health and safety, including assuming the appointment as Dirigente Delegato pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 81/08 for Italian entities within the group perimeter.Develop and oversee action plans for preventive and corrective activities at wind and solar farms.Implement and coordinate emergency procedures.Monitor and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with legal and company HSQE requirements.Support local teams in ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements.Provide guidance to colleagues and contractors on method statements, safe systems of work, updated legislation, and best practices across jurisdictions.Define and implement HSQE training plans at the local level.Contribute to the development of company-wide HSQE policies, guidelines, procedures, objectives, and KPIs.Manage, monitor, and analyse HSQE performance data.Investigate and respond to accidents and incidents, conducting thorough investigations and identifying areas for improvement.Support hazard identification, risk evaluation, and control of occupational and environmental risks.Participate in designing initiatives to promote environmental and safety awareness internally and externally.Hold regular meetings with global and local functions to assess HSQE needs and provide support at both corporate and local levels.Review and validate HSQE requirements in contracts.

Education & QualificationsDegree in Engineering, preferably Environmental EngineeringOccupational Health & Safety qualification (RSPP)Internal auditor certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, with knowledge of ISO 9001Qualification to deliver safety training is preferredFluent in Italian and EnglishDriver's license
