Valeo Smart Cookpit Italy specializes in switches, human‑machine interface (HMI) control panels and displays, offering added value in service, flexibility, product know‑how and in‑depth knowledge of its customers to fully understand their needs and offer optimal solutions.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) in Valeo Santena you will have the opportunity to work with the most powerful car‑maker companies in electronics development, in an international and multicultural environment.
These will be the main activities
* Contact supplier as soon as an issue is detected with a purchased component to get the supplier to organize containment in 24 h; apply QRQC, SRM, PG rules to opened incidents.
* Confirm the robustness of containment by looking for recurrence after containment has been set.
* Ensure 100% yearly conformity of purchased components in accordance with stage 7 of the AQP for product & process.
* Yearly initial samples approval with capability evidence.
* Manage the PQA status (grant or remove PQA status physically and in the system).
* Initiate, analyze, report and follow‑up incidents until PDCA closure.
* Initiate an incident in SRM to the supplier following the SQM after preliminary investigation on the Valeo site with Valeo site quality.
* Track each incident detected on the site and ensure QR reactivity; full PDCA analysis must meet group standards: 24 hrs / 5 days / 10 days rule.
* Pull daily information from the supplier and/or PG SQA manager and communicate during APU and supplier QRQC.
* Escalate to PG SQA or purchasing manager for any support required or for any roadblock regarding incident problem‑solving activity or yearly component conformity.
* Systematically participate in supplier and APU QRQC and in plant QRQC when required.
Key indicators to manage, consolidate and update on a site level
* Yearly conformity for all purchased components.
* Reactivity in problem‑solving QR reactivity (and monitor PD‑CA reactivity).
* Charge‑back follow‑up.
Desired Skills And Experience
* Master’s degree (Mechanical Engineering / Materials Engineering preferred).
* 1 to 3 years of experience in similar roles in the automotive field.
* Fluent Italian (mandatory) and fluent English.
