This Position reports to:
Project Operations Manager
Your Role And Responsibilities
You will act as the responsible engineer for project with different level of complexity: Engineering discipline leader on small projects or portions of larger projects. You will complete engineering assignments efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
* Work model:
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
* Engineering development of protection relays and control systems
* Programming project-specific applications efficiently and meeting customer requirements, ensuring proper functionality and interfacing to other systems.
* You will carry out acceptance testing (FAT and SAT) of Protection and Control systems in cooperation with other colleagues and customers, following the health and safety regulations.
* You are also responsible of creating and reviewing technical customer documentation for your projects.
* You will participate in the commissioning of the application on customer sites.
* This position offers you excellent opportunities to develop as an expert in protection and control products and systems.
Qualifications For The Role
* Diploma in a technical field, preferably in Electrical or Automation. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is considered a plus.
* Good general working knowledge on HMIs, PLCs and I/Os, preferably with ABB products, as well on Windows-based operating systems
* Understanding of control system topologies and communication protocols
* You work well both independently and as a part of a team. You seek solutions actively, instead of focusing on problems
* Interaction with both customers and other ABB team is an important part of this job
* You are at ease communicating in italian and have a good command of English
* Willingness to travel is required to some extent, to ensure successful completion of the delivery projects
