In order to strengthen ourQualityDepartment, we are looking to hire aSupplier Quality Engineerbased inMaranello(Italy).
In this position, the SQE will report to theMechanical(Engine and Transmission)Perimeter Managerand will be responsible for ensuring quality standards throughout all phases of product development, from design through the product in operation.
As part of the Supplier Quality team, you will be responsible for:
- Verification of production and/or technology processes and current and potential new suppliers;- Supporting the procurement process by evaluating proposed supplier pools for new coding in terms of quality indicators and field verification (on-site audits), focusing on technical aspects, technologies, capability analysis, development time and supplier quality performance;
- Work closely with assigned suppliers, with periodic visits in order to generate periodic reports and actively monitor technical/quality risk;
- Manage complaints (experimental, production, network) regarding any recorded non-conformities and those not, and implement containment activities, short and long term corrective actions;
- Enforce APQP where required to achieve a product that meets customer requirements against project milestones consistent with definition of PPAP requirements per approval of production flows and production methodologies validated and approved to/from supplier;
- Define improvement plans and response plans (task force);
- Interface with design and development, manufacturing and process quality departments.
In order to succeed in this challenging role, it is preferred that you have achieved excellent academic results with a master’s degree inMechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Industrial Engineringorequivalent.
Ideally, you should have at least5 yearsof experience in the role and a minimum of3 yearsof specific automotive experience.
Knowledgeand application ofISO 9001andIATF 16949is required.
Basic knowledgeof manufacturing processes is required: Transmission/Gearbox (e.g.: gears system; clutch system; control system) and Hose and tube (rigid, flexible, rigid&flexible, PTFE,etc.).
Advanced knowledgeof manufacturing processes is also required: Engine (e.g.: fuel system; cooling system); TIG, MIG, EBW and spot welding; Complex Milling, turning and Mil-Turn; intake and exhaust system; Castings (e.g.: sand casting; Lost wax casting; Die casting; shell molding,etc.).
Ahigh propensityformobilityis required (>75%).
